THE EXPERIENCE
Your dive course begins with your Instructor picking you up
in the morning from your accommodation in Byron Bay.
A short drive up through the Byron hinterland brings you to Brooklet, one of the most stunning areas in the region and home base to Deluxe Dive.

DAY ONE BEGINS
ON THE DECK
Over locally grown coffee, Jason, your Instructor, will introduce you to the very basics of life underwater. Your equipment, used nowhere else in the world for an underwater dive course, will be waiting for you.
A morning of Diving theory will lead into a lunch of the very best local Byron produce. Fresh, light and perfect for your afternoon in the pool.
Cantilevered into a valley shared by Olivia Newton-John’s GAIA, Deluxe Dives pool is iconic and it’s yours alone.
You finish day one debriefing in our Scandinavian hot tub, with a foundation of confidence and excitement.
One step closer to a world that so few can ever reach.

YOU CAN ALMOST
TASTE THE SALT WATER
This begins in the pool, mastering the skills that you will use in the Sea… final preparations. Understand that we have no time pressure in the pool, in fact we stay until you are ready to leave - with a foundation of calm, heartfelt confidence.
Once more lunch is all about the local farm fresh, seasonal produce that Byron Bay is famous for, light, vibrant and engaging.
Your afternoon puts the finishing touches on your dive theory, giving you true focus on everything you will need for your time underwater at Sea.

Together we will enjoy two dives, where we repeat a number of skills learned in the pool. After this we move on to immerse in and embrace a natural world few have seen… We dive.
These dives end with thorough debriefs and discussion on completed tasks and all the marine life we have encountered. Your logbook has begun and is a diary of genuine adventure and very real life experience.

WHEREVER WE LAND

Like baby eagles, wings spread at the cliff face, except, there are no unknowns and the feelings you have are that you have never been more ready. Two dives to finish your skill mastery and then, while we are underwater, I’ll let you know you have passed. You are a certified PADI Diver.
Congratulations! From here onwards you have everything you need to begin your exploration of the most vivid environment left on this planet… You, as do I, still have a lifetime of learning ahead but together we are now divers.
